Representative Jennifer Mandelbaum named a Gun Sense Candidate

I’m honored to have received the Gun Sense Voter designation from Moms Demand Action for my position on gun violence prevention. I fully support the Second Amendment right to own a gun, and I do not want that firearm to be used to harm anyone. Firearms are the leading cause of death for children in the U.S., killing more children than car crashes and cancer. We do not have to live this way. Evidence-based public health approaches to gun violence prevention that keep guns out of schools and out of the wrong hands (e.g., background checks on all gun sales, preventing gun trafficking, and violence intervention programs) can preserve our Second Amendment rights while doing what we can to improve gun safety.
