Representative Jennifer Mandelbaum speaks on national public health Women’s Leadership Institute panel
The American Public Health Association’s (APHA) Women’s Leadership Institute: Your Superhero Story was designed for early- to mid-career professional women in public health. This event focused on helping participants tap into their strengths to become more confident, resilient leaders. Following last year’s successful event, this year’s theme invited attendees to embrace their superhero stories, connect with other women in the field, and overcome shared career challenges together. Participants explored their unique “origin stories,” discover their personal strengths, and learned how to use them to advance their careers and create a supportive community for women in public health.
Representative Mandelbaum was a panelist for a session on building a successful and impactful career along with Chris Chanyasulkit, PhD, MPH (Immediate Past President, American Public Health Association) and Kris Rhodes, MPH (Director, Office of Indian Affairs, Minnesota Department of Public Health).
